4GEON Activities
GeoBus
"As a recruitment, onboarding, teambuilding or experience education vehicle, trips and stays will be organized in connection with geocourse curricula and in harmony with the local situation. The visual style will be developed for geobus to highlight the purpose of the project, relevant UN goals and principles, geophenomena and the geoheritage. A comprehensive geobus guidebook will be created to provide methodical guidance for local organizers of the activity; it will involve topics such as funding, safety, the visual style, recommended educational activities and their fit in the course curricula, which will allow implementation of the concept even beyond the geoparks involved in the project (as proclaimed in our vision). For example, it will be described how geobus trip may be used as a recruitment tool for geocourse participants, onboarding tool for new participants, field experience from the nature, practical evaluation of participants' theoretical knowledge, teambuilding, networking or knowledge sharing among participants and experts, important persons in the community or stakeholder representatives." Sunset in Ngorongoro
geobus2025-03-18"Sunset in the Ngorongoro Crater, the true Garden of Eden, is pure magic. Golden light spills over the crater’s rim, painting the grasslands in amber and crimson. Silhouettes of wildebeest and zebra stretch across the plains, while lions stir in the fading light. Flamingos wade through Lake Magadi, their reflections shimmering. Above, the sky becomes a canvas of pink, orange, and violet, embracing this ancient wilderness in a perfect, timeless glow." - Elia, The Engaruka English Medium Primary School Geoclub Teacher
